Melt the butter in a bowl. Add sugar and mix well. Then add eggs and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix slowly until everything combines into a smooth batter. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan. Spread evenly using a spatula.
